HUGE announcement for me came on my 30th birthday, 7-16-18. Sharing that in May & June 2019 I will be biking 4000+ miles across the country to raise awareness and funds for organizations involved with mental health and suicide prevention. My planning team Rich Smith, Lacey Avery and Chris Kirkendall and I are working on more details but you can visit the preliminary route on our website www.swift-ride.com
We are starting to collect donations through PayPal to [email protected]. The idea is to collect donations for each mile of the ride. My goal is $20/mile for as much as $80,000 to be split between four organizations.. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), This is My Brave (mental health), Active Minds and Mental Health Colorado. We are also planning to give a grant to a group or individual we have not yet come across but we meet throughout the next year that is making great efforts in this cause. We are planning to host a Podcast to share stories, inspiration, messages, trials and tribulations to spread more awareness and hopefully create a more openness and connectedness in our communities, if you're interested or have any suggestions or comments please reach out to me at [email protected] We are so very excited about this ride/project and appreciate any feedback and support as we plan more details. Thank you for taking the time to read, and more details will come!:) #swiftride #NAMI #AFSP #suicideprevention #mentalhealth #wellness #biking #bikeamerica #crosscountry #bemorehuman #optoutside #thisismybrave
